Ohio – Gloria Steinem
Gloria Steinem was at the forefront of the women’s rights campaigns of the late 1960s and early 1970s and has been one of the most high-profile feminist activists ever since.
She was born in Toledo, Ohio in 1934 to German parents. She spent most of her childhood traveling with her father’s roaming antiques business.
