Maryland – Toni Braxton
Starting out alongside her sisters as The Braxtons, Severn’s Toni Braxton really achieved stardom when she went solo, winning three Grammys for her debut solo album in 1993.
Best known for her 1996 hit Un-Break My Heart, Braxton has won a further four Grammys, seven American Music Awards and nine Billboard awards, plus a Legend Award from Soul Train.
