Hollywood won’t cast any old actress as the legendary Eqyptian queen Nefertari – hence Anne Baxter, who played the role in 1956’s The Ten Commandments, was a true beauty.
Born in Michigan City, Indiana, Baxter won an Oscar and Golden Globe for 1946’s The Razor’s Edge, and worked extensively in film and TV until she passed away in 1985.
