Frances Conroy – American Horror Story

Beyond her riveting performances in suspense-driven productions like “American Horror Story,” “Six Feet Under,” and “The Mist,” Frances Conroy delivered a memorable portrayal as Arthur Fleck’s mother, Penny Fleck, in the psychological thriller “Joker.” Her recent work includes notable appearances in the critically acclaimed 2021 productions “The Power of the Dog” and the anthology series “American Horror Story: Double Feature.”
Similar to many of her “American Horror Story” colleagues, Conroy has undergone remarkable physical transformations for her roles, particularly notable during her portrayal of the formidable Myrtle Snow. Her performance combined striking visual presentation with methodical character development, impressing both audiences and critics with her extraordinary versatility. Present-day Conroy presents a distinctly different appearance compared to her earlier career phases.
